The installation space required by them may be as small as a couple of centimetres, and some recessed-mounted models can be installed directly into the insulation material.

In renovation projects, the stumbling block may be the ceiling structures, which may offer very little space for the installation of luminaires. In this case, select a luminaire with a low structure or a surface-mounted model. Paintings, interesting design features and striking architectural details can be highlighted with spotlights. Pay attention to the spotlight’s beam angle. Luminaires with a narrow beam are ideal for high spaces, while low rooms should be equipped luminaires with a wider beam. This allows you to direct the light in the desired direction. In a high space, light from a wide-beamed luminaire becomes too dispersed. Accent lighting can be realised with adjustable downlights or luminaires mounted on a rail. Connect your spotlights together as group that you can control to change the atmosphere in your room.
Indirect light, which is dispersed into the space by surfaces, is comfortable for the eyes. Indirect light adds style and character to a room. Light reflected off surfaces can be used to enhance and highlight the features of the room. You can place LED strips behind your TV, in a bay window, or on cabinets, mantlepieces or door frames. And why not mount a LED strip underneath a sofa? LED strips are easy to mount with LED profiles. Their opal diffuser obscures the bright light sources and gives your lighting solution a finished appearance.
Indirect lighting, if it is the only source of illumination, may obscure shapes, making a space seem one-dimensional. Complement indirect lighting and add character to your space with other forms of lighting. Ceiling luminaire and reading lights should have their own switches. Indirect lighting is easy to create with LED strips. Thanks to their low profile, LED strips fit into the smallest of grooves. In new buildings, lighting solutions should be planned at the design stage, enabling the creation of structures in which LED strips and the required cables can be installed inconspicuously. LED strips are available as 230 V and 12 V versions.
