Airam Electric Oy Ab is a Finnish family-owned company traditionally known for its extensive range of lamps. Over the years, Airam has expanded its selection to include luminaires and smart home solutions, growing into a lighting specialist serving both consumers and professional customers. The product range also includes vacuum flasks, gift products and items for leisure and outdoor living.
Airam is a long-term Finnish expert company. We understand our customers’ business and have therefore been able to create an exceptionally broad product offering: lighting for homes and professional applications, as well as products for leisure and outdoor activities.
We invest in sustainable lighting solutions. In addition to Finland, our lighting systems are sold throughout the Nordic countries, creating growth and opportunities for the domestic lighting industry.
We have extensive experience in demanding lighting projects for professional customers. Through our sales channels and lighting solutions, we serve both consumers and professionals. Our customer service and key account teams support professional customers and consumers alike. Airam products are sold through hardware stores, builders’ merchants, hypermarkets, specialist retailers and electrical wholesalers.
Airam’s retail operations and logistics centre are located in Kerava, while export operations and local sales are managed from our Stockholm office.
Guidance, advice and inspiration in lighting
Founded in 1921, Airam is only four years younger than independent Finland. During those hundred years, Finland has developed from an agricultural society into a high-tech industrial nation that is home to the happiest people in the world.
Over the same period, we have learned to produce and use light in many different ways. In the 1920s, incandescent light bulbs were screwed into luminaires in homes and factories. In the 2020s, smartphone-controlled smart LED lamps create atmosphere in homes, while LED luminaires illuminate factory halls – making routine lamp replacement largely a thing of the past.

Kari Onniselkä
CEO
Kari is responsible for Airam Electric and the Group, including the subsidiary in Sweden. He assumed his position on 1 January 2024.
Ville Keinänen
Business (Pro) and Technology Director
Ville is responsible for sales, marketing and product portfolio for electrical professionals, as well as Airam’s technical expertise. He joined Airam in 2016.
Susanna Rantala
Business (Retail) and Marketing Director
Susanna is responsible for sales, and product portfolio for consumers and retail customers. She also oversees marketing and the Airam brand. She joined Airam in 2026.
Ilkka Laijoki
Chief Financial Officer
Ilkka is responsible for finance, administration, IT and real estate. He joined Airam in 2023.
Pekka Molarius
Supply Chain Director
Pekka is responsible for the Lahti luminaire factory, the Kerava logistics centre, as well as purchasing and customer service. He joined Airam in 2023.
