Ethical and profitable business

Sustainability management
At Airam, sustainability is divided into four topics: ethical and profitable business, social responsibility, environmental responsibility, and supply chain management. The topics are based on our double materiality analysis that we update regularly.
We have described our governance model, decision-making processes and division of responsibilities in our governance code. Airam’s Board approves the strategy and values that are the foundation for our sustainability work. The Board monitors the progress of the sustainability work and its objectives once a year.
Airam’s management team makes decisions on our most important sustainability commitments. They also review and approve the principles, objectives and measures for our sustainability work and regularly monitor progress toward these targets. At the operational level, coordination and promotion of Airam’s sustainability work is the responsibility of the Sustainability and Quality Manager.

Profitable business
The development of our business is guided by financial profitability and our ethical principles. We continually develop our range of products and services to meet the needs of our customers. Our financially viable business enables investments in social and environmental responsibility. It allows us to support society as a taxpayer, to pay wages to our employees, and to act as a partner for our customers and business partners.

Ethical principles
All employees, management and board members of Airam must comply with our code of conduct. The board of Airam approves the code of conduct as part of the governance code.
We also require all our partners and stakeholders to operate responsibly and to commit to our code of conduct. As a member of amfori, we are committed to complying with amfori code of conduct both in our own operations and in our supply chain.

Commitments and certificates
Through commitments and certifications we want to demonstrate our determined work to develop our operations and products. Our quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems comply with the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards. We participate in the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and are members of amfori BSCI and BEPI initiatives. We also require our suppliers to commit to amfori’s Code of Conduct, which is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, environmental principles and workers’ rights. We report on our sustainability work annually through the UN Global Compact and CDP.

Anti-corruption policy
Airam has zero tolerance for corruption and bribery, and bribery or any other unethical conduct is not permitted under any circumstances. The policy applies to all personnel, management, the board, and partners acting in the name of Airam. We expect the same from all our partners.

Whistleblowing
It is important to us that we act ethically and in compliance with the law. You can contact any manager or other trusted person working with us if you encounter or notice conduct that violates the law or our ethical principles. You can also report misconduct through our whistleblowing channel and, if you wish, make the report anonymously.
