Principles of social responsibility
For Airam, social responsibility means local presence, safe and healthy working conditions, and equal and fair treatment of people. We offer our employees meaningful work in a safe and inspiring environment and contribute to societal well‑being by utilizing and developing Finnish expertise. We are committed to promoting equality and preventing discrimination both in our own operations and in our supply chain.
Occupational health and safety
At Airam, occupational health and safety means a healthy and safe working environment for both employees and visitors. Safety is part of everyday life through the 6S method, safety observations and safety walks, and our goal is zero accidents. The occupational health and safety policy defines the objectives and principles of our occupational safety work, and our activities are guided by our strategies and responsibility principles as well as the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct and the UN Global Compact initiative. Our occupational health and safety system was certified according to the ISO 45001 standard in spring 2024.
Equality and non-discrimination
Promoting equality is one of the principles of our social responsibility. We are committed to advancing equality and preventing discrimination both in our own operations and in our supply chain. Our goal is a healthy and safe working community where people can focus on their work with peace of mind. Our social responsibility work is guided by our strategies, ethical principles of conduct, our responsibility policy, as well as the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct and the UN Global Compact initiative.

Sponsorships and donations
Airam supports selected long-term partners. We concentrate our support on the Cancer Foundation’s Roosa nauha campaign and MIELI Suomen Mielenterveys ry. In addition, we provide product donations to separately selected recipients.
Supply chain management
Our responsibility for people, the economy and the environment does not end within our own walls. We develop the responsibility of our supply chain by working with long-term subcontractors and partners.
